Welding Supervisor

The Welding Supervisor assists the Factory Manager by ensuring all logistics related to safety, quality, and production are effectively maintained within the assigned weld bays. Responsibilities include scheduling work to achieve production objectives, ensuring efficient movement of products through weld bays, performing MIG and TIG welding on both standard and exotic materials, executing training plans for personnel as directed by the Operations Manager, proficiently using and training others on operating procedures including ISO Procedures, Design Drawings, and Work Instructions, assigning personnel to jobs based on their qualifications and abilities, organizing the work center to be ready for the next day's production, identifying and reporting problems with equipment function, parts, and raw materials, implementing and sustaining lean manufacturing and 5S practices, and performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Essential Skills include proficiency in MIG and TIG welding, experience in using ISO Procedures, Design Drawings, and Work Instructions, 10 years of continued growth in welding, Level 3 inspector or Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification, and ASME Section 9 / AWS knowledge and experience.

Work Environment This role is based in a manufacturing facility's welding department, operating during day shifts from Monday to Friday.

Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Lenexa, Kansas. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
