Welding Assistant

Job Opportunity

We are seeking reliable and hardworking candidates to join our team in Bettendorf, IA. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals with experience in assembly, manufacturing, or metal fabrication and have long-term aspirations to learn a skilled trade! The role involves mechanical assembly tasks using various tools and materials, with opportunities to advance into welding, machining, or material handling.

Key Responsibilities

• Use hand and power tools including socket wrenches, impact drills, screwdrivers, and mallet hammers.
• Securely install nuts, bolts, and pins.
• Place metal materials inside tubes for auger blade wrapping.
• Perform torch cutting and grinder operations as needed.
• Follow assembly directions and ensure quality workmanship.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of experience in assembly, manufacturing, construction, or warehouse settings.
• Ability to read and follow assembly instructions.
• Comfortable using screwdrivers, impact drills, and other hand/power tools.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with mechanical assembly.
• Familiarity with torch cutting and grinder operations.

Work Environment

• Laid-back and supportive shop environment focused on training and development.
• May require brief outdoor work; appropriate attire (coats, boots, jeans, t-shirts) is necessary.
• Shop conditions may vary, including colder temperatures.

Additional Information

• 1st shift schedule, 6am - 2:30pm, Monday - Friday.
• Mandatory overtime/Saturdays maybe required as needed
• Weekly pay + full benefits offered (medical/dental/vision)

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
