Roles and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions / Responsibilities:

• Assemble and TIG weld aerospace castings and details
• Use fixtures, tools, and gauges to produce aerospace parts meeting blueprint drawing tolerances
• Follow detailed work instructions
• Practice weld procedures per GE and Nadcap/AWS specifications
• Work in a team environment, participate in Action Workouts, and contribute to the LEAN Manufacturing workplace
• Practice safe work habits and maintain a hazard-free work environment.

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Must have minimum of two years Gas Tungsten Arc (Heliarc) welding experience
• Pass Gas Tungsten Arc Weld test on nickel base, cobalt base and stainless steel alloys (groove and fillet welding per MIL-W-1595)
• Prefer 2 years of college or trade school background or professional industry equivalency
• Must be able to complete qualification training on nickel and cobalt per AWS D17.1
• Good attendance, attitude and work habits will be required
• Employee must have no disqualifications on his/her record for the past six months

Note: Employee will have a 60-day period to establish performance in new classification and acquire necessary tools. If such performance is not established and maintained, the individual will be returned to previous classification.
