Weekend Shift Machine Operator - Laser

The role involves setting up and operating various types of fabrication machinery including Press Brakes, Lasers, CNC Mills, PEM, and Plasma Cutters. You will utilize computers, CAD programs, basic hand tools, and measurement instruments to effectively perform tasks. The position also requires communication with production leads to meet demands and follow schedules, inspecting production parts for defects and quality standards, and performing routine maintenance on machinery.

Set up and operate fabrication machinery such as Press Brakes, Lasers, CNC Mills, PEM, and Plasma Cutters.

Utilize computers, CAD programs, and basic hand tools for operation.

Communicate with production leads to ensure demands are met and schedules are followed.

Inspect production parts for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.

Perform routine maintenance on machinery.

Apply knowledge of machine tooling, speeds/feeds, and tooling setup.

Use basic measurement instruments to verify component dimensions.

Experience in sheet metal fabrication.

Knowledge of machine tooling, speeds/feeds, and tooling setup.

Ability to use basic measurement instruments.

Blueprint reading skills.

Proficiency in operating laser machines like Trumpf Laser.

Willingness to train on 1st shift.

Ability to read a tape measure to the 16th.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Charleston, South Carolina.

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
