Summer Internship Program

Our Summer Internship Program at Sysco is a 10-week paid program designed to enhance your education by providing real-world experience. Your internship is designed to provide you with the skills and professional experience to take with you well beyond the classroom. During the 10-week program, you are involved in much more than the day-to-day operations of the company.

Interns are exposed to relevant projects and challenges in a dynamic environment. You will be equipped with the knowledge, skill, and expertise needed for the next level. You will work with and be mentored by the best and the brightest, and receive valuable performance feedback. Planned social activities provide exposure and opportunities for you to network with leading industry professionals. You will offer a variety of learning experiences through training, development, and mentorship while completing a meaningful project to support and drive the business.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Students pursuing a Bachelor's degree with concentrations in Business Management, Logistics, or Supply Chain.
• Strong academic credentials (Minimum GPA of 2.7)
• Rising seniors majoring in supply chain strongly preferred.

• Develop an understanding of the Sysco approach, methodology, and tools
• Identify various business issues, and provide solutions via research

Physical Demands:

• The work requires the following physical activities: sitting, finger dexterity for activities such as data entry, speaking, hearing, visual acuity, and mobility between departments.
• Work may require bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, and crouching; extensive telephone work.
• Ability to receive detailed information through both verbal and written communication.
• Able to express or exchange ideas utilizing the spoken word.
• Can lift up to 50 lbs.
• Use of both hands is required.

Working Conditions:

• The work is performed primarily indoors.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
