Description
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Technician to support the planning, coordination, and execution of material movement from receipt to production. This position is responsible for day-to-day warehouse operations, including inventory control, material handling, shipping and receiving, and coordination with other departments to meet production and scheduling requirements.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule, and manage the flow of materials from warehouse receipt to production.
- Develop raw material and scheduling requirements based on engineering specifications and production schedules.
- Collaborate with purchasing, warehouse, and production teams to coordinate timely material movement.
- Perform daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and staging of materials.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and apply appropriate min/max inventory levels.
- Update and manage inventory data in the warehouse management system or relevant database.
- Conduct and support annual physical inventories and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks and other vehicles during shipping and receiving operations.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Basic Qualifications
- TS/SCI w/Poly clearance is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in materials management, warehouse operations, or production planning.
- Working knowledge of material movement, inventory control, and production scheduling processes.
- Familiarity with Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) and materials management systems.
- Experience with warehousing operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing materials.
- Ability to interpret engineering specifications and production schedules to determine material needs.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with team members and other departments.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in tracking material flow and maintaining records.
- Ability to work independently under limited supervision and solve moderately complex material planning challenges.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree or vocational training in supply chain, logistics, or a related field.
- Proficiency with ERP or MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
- Knowledge of material selection for production based on performance, cost, and application.
- Forklift certification and experience with material handling equipment.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment with high material throughput.
- Exposure to lean inventory or just-in-time (JIT) methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements in material planning or warehousing.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $39,000.00 - $70,500.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
