Position Overview

The Vice President of Finance will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for overseeing all financial operations, driving financial strategy, and ensuring operational excellence across the organization. This role requires a proven finance leader with a strong background in manufacturing cost accounting, multi-channel consumer products, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will be both strategic and hands-on, with the ability to implement process improvements, provide actionable insights, and partner with senior leadership to support the company's continued growth.

Candidate Profile

• 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, including cost accounting within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong background in multi-channel consumer products (eCommerce, Amazon, wholesale).
• Demonstrated expertise in financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and analysis.
• Proven leadership experience managing and developing a lean finance team (3-4 direct reports).
• Hands-on, detail-oriented style with a continuous improvement and process optimization mindset.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics (Business Central preferred).
• CPA designation preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash management.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare and review GAAP-compliant financial statements and related reporting packages.
• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive budgeting and forecasting models.
• Own and optimize standard costing systems; perform variance and margin analysis.
• Oversee inventory management and cost-of-goods tracking across multiple brands and business units.
• Partner with manufacturing and operations teams to support job costing, process efficiency, and financial performance.
• Conduct pricing and profitability analyses to guide strategic decision-making and capital investment planning.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls while ensuring audit and tax compliance.
• Provide the CEO and executive team with actionable insights, financial guidance, and strategic recommendations.
• Manage banking relationships, monitor quarterly covenant compliance, and oversee cash flow planning.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and third-party vendors.
• Lead financial planning and analysis (FP&A) efforts, supporting scalable growth and ad hoc strategic projects.
