Part Time Veterinary Technician

Join our growing team at VCA VREC of Westbury and help provide exceptional care to pets in our community! We're seeking a part time experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician for our Surgery team at our 24-hour Emergency/Specialty hospital.

We support full technician skill utilization and provide gold-standard medicine with a focus on patient care.

Compensation: $29 $37/hr, based on experience and licensure

Schedule: part-time, flexible which may include some weekends

Surgery Technician Duties (not limited to):

• Procedural anesthesia monitoring
• Ability to calculate drug doses
• Full Technician Skill Utilization
• Collecting patient histories & thorough physical exams
• Venipuncture / IVC placement
• Hands Free Radiology (Associate safety a top priority)
• Working collaboratively with team members of all hospital services
• Providing compassionate care for all patients
• Imaging and advanced procedures
• Paid on-call availability
• Minimum 1 year experience
