Veterinary Technician - Primary Care

VCA Valley Animal Hospital & Emergency Center is seeking an experienced Credentialed Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant to join our Primary Care team.

The successful candidate will be a believer in the possibilities of high quality veterinary medicine and patient care—with the expertise and technical know-how to make them happen.

In addition to standard Veterinary Nursing Technical skills, we value:

• Excellent Client & Patient Care while staying on time with schedule

• Knowledge and competence of Nursing care, husbandry, and clinical practice Canine & Feline patients

• Anesthesia induction, maintenance, monitoring, and recovery for canine & feline patients

• Experience with surgical assistance and dental prophylaxis

• Organization, self motivation, and desire to grow/practice at the top of your license

• An interest in Veterinary Acupuncture

Compensation varies based on education, experience, and current AZ CVT license: $16 - 24/hour (includes scale for licensed and unlicensed Veterinary Technicians)

CE Allowance $750/year for CVTs, $1000/year for VTS.

Full time.

Typical schedule alternates Sunday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday and Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Saturday (every other weekend) 7/7:45a - 6p.

Schedule is subject to variation and change based on hospital needs
