Care Center located in Cincinnati, OH is searching for a Veterinary Technician Assistant to join our outstanding Oncology team. If you're passionate about veterinary medicine, eager to learn, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to meet you.

Schedule: Full-Time | First Shift, 4/10's | Monday - Thursday | On-call rotation required (about once per month)

Pay Range: Competitive hourly rate: $18$25/hour (based on experience)

Responsibilities of this position: The Veterinary Technician Assistant supports the Veterinarians and Technicians in ensuring quality veterinary care for all patients, advocates for pets, provides client education to pet owners, and ensures a safe and efficient hospital environment.

• Assist veterinarians and technicians with exams, procedures, and treatments
• Provide pet owners with clear home-care instructions and updates on hospitalized pets
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure seamless care
• Ensure clean, safe, and efficient hospital operations
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and treatments

Essential Skills

• Patient restraint skills including, but not limited to: behavioral assessment, safe handling of fractious patients
• Able to maintain focus and work in a fast-paced work environment
• Adept at problem solving
• Basic computer skills
• Effective communication and organizational skills

Education and Experience Requirements:

• 3-5 years emergency or specialty veterinary clinical experience
• High school diploma, GED, or higher education
• Must be able to lift forty (40) pounds unassisted
