Veterinary Assistant Relief

VCA Old River Animal Hospital ? is seeking a Relief Veterinary Assistant to join our exceptional team!

Location : 520 W 11th St, Tracy, CA 95376

Compensation: $ 21 - $ 23 / hr

Schedule: Relief including weekends

What You'll Do:

As a member of VCA Old River Animal Hospital , you will support the team by fostering a positive and low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Skills that will be utilized may include, but are not limited to:

  Assistveterinarians and technicians with exams and procedures

  n

• n

  Take patient histories and perform TPRs (temperature, pulse, respiration)

• n

  Restrain animals safely and compassionately

  n
n
• n

  Prepare and clean exam rooms

  n
n
• n

  Assistwith radiographs, labsample collection, and basic in-house diagnostics

  n
n
• n

  Maintainaccuratemedical records and supportcharting

  n
n
• n

  Provideclient educationand ensure excellent service during visits

  n
n
• n

  Support surgery prep and recovery as needed

  n
n
• n

  Helpmaintaina clean, stocked, and organized hospital environment

  n
n

Qualifications:

n
• n

  1+ years experience in aveterinary settingas a Veterinary Assistant

  n
n
• n

  Comfortable handling dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments

  n
n
• n

  High school diploma or equivalent required

  n
n
