Functionality, reliability, and user experience are key to successful software developmentand that means rigorous testing. That's why we need you, an experienced test engineer who knows how to thoroughly test software and work with developers to make sure our team releases the best software possible.

As a software test engineer on our team, you'll use your experience to work with test developers to evaluate software. You'll generate data and implement the test cases to observe how the software performs, then document the results and communicate defects to the development team so they can start improving the tool.

As a Verification and Validation Engineer on our team, you have the chance to shape Air Force missions by supporting software test engineering efforts. Your customer will trust you to not only design and develop these systems but also evolve them with advanced technology solutions.

You will analyze system requirements and concept of operations documents, acquisition plans, and system descriptions to develop evaluation and test plans and procedures, prepare for and conduct the data collection and analysis, and report status and results. You'll work with other test organizations to support T&E program integration and provide specialized T&E capabilities tailored to system functions, level, maturity, and performance area as assigned in the SOW.

You Have:

• 7+ years of experience as a test engineer in programs and contracts
• Experience with government test and evaluation concepts and engineering, acquisition, and operations activities as needed to support the T&E activities, including research
• Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science

Nice If You Have:

• Experience specifying, validating, and adapting Modeling and Simulation for T&E use
• Experience applying statistical analysis of variations in performance behavior to characterize confidence in performance estimates
• Experience assessing operational and system performance requirements for testability and criticality to frame and prioritize T&E objectives and enable evaluation planning, including analyzing performance risk areas
• Ability to plan program and event level risk-tailored performance estimation and analysis of system and operational effectiveness, suitability metrics, and conditions, including inspection, demonstration, paper analysis, survey, simulation, and physical test
• Ability to plan and execute performance analysis
• Ability to review planned acquisition approaches to support T&E schedule alignment with decision-maker needs for T&E support
• Ability to coordinate with program Systems Engineering (SE) and review T&E-related SE information to leverage functional analysis, system descriptions, parameter selection and dependencies, Modeling and Simulation, and initial performance risk assessments to inform evaluation planning
• Ability to assess operational environments and priorities for evaluation attention and scenario selection and to coordinate user participation in T&E
• Top Secret clearance
• Master's degree in Computer Science

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
