Upon the order of a qualified healthcare provider, the Vascular/Echo Ultrasound Technologist will operate equipment using high frequency sound waves for diagnostic purposes according to policies, procedures, and protocols of the KSC Cardiology Department and Kelsey-Seybold Clinic to perform vascular and/or cardiac sonography. The Ultrasound Technologist will utilize the designated Radiology Information System (RIS) to complete clerical processes and the designated Patient Archiving System (PACS) as is applicable. May be assigned to other duties, technical or non-technical if training, experience and credentials are deemed adequate by the supervisor to perform those duties. These procedures may include EKGs, holter monitoring, event monitoring, stress echocardiograms, contrast echocardiograms, and satellite test transmissions and result coordination.

Required Qualifications:

• Highschool diploma or GED
• RDCS or RCS
• BCLS certification from American Heart Association
• 1+ years of direct clinical experience in all phases of echocardiography and vascular studies
• Demonstrated ability to perform echocardiography studies to the satisfaction of the Kelsey-Seybold Cardiologists OR will accept graduates with 6 months clinical rotations through an accredited echo and/or vascular sonography program and hiring department can provide direct supervision for 3 months
• Demonstrated ability to perform echocardiography and vascular studies to the satisfaction of the Kelsey-Seybold Cardiologists
• Willing or ability to work extended shifts in situations deemed necessary by the Cardiology Lab or the Exercise Physiologist Coordinator

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associates or Bachelors degree in related healthcare field
• RVT or RVS
• 2+ years of experience performing vascular or echocardiography
• GE Ultrasound, Phillips Ultrasound, Parks Flo Lab and Unetixs equipment familiarity
• PACS and RIS experience
• Proven good verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

The hourly pay for this role will range from $28.27 to $50.48 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
