Director Of Engineering - Automation Engineering - Central Fill Pharmacy Network

We are seeking a visionary Director of Engineering to lead the design, development, and optimization of automated pharmacy fulfillment centers across the country. This role will be instrumental in scaling our capabilities, improving patient outcomes, and driving operational excellence through innovative engineering solutions.

Lead the engineering strategy and execution for Walmart's Central Fill Pharmacy Network, including automation, robotics, and systems integration.

Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, product, and technology teams to deliver scalable, efficient, and compliant pharmacy fulfillment solutions.

Partner with key stakeholders on capital projects, and facility design to ensure alignment with business goals and regulatory standards.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on throughput, accuracy, safety, and cost efficiency.

Enhance patient access to medications through faster, more reliable fulfillment.

Reduce costs and improve margins through automation and process innovation.

Support strategic growth in of the Central Fill Network.

Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations while maintaining operational excellence.

Proven experience leading large-scale engineering programs in healthcare, logistics, or manufacturing environments.

Deep understanding of automation technologies, robotics, and systems integration.

Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence across functions and levels.

Passion for healthcare innovation.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent (preferred but not required).

Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher).

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field and 5 years' experience in Engineering, supply chain, or a related area. Option 2: 7 years' experience in Engineering, supply chain, or a related area. 3 years' supervisory experience.
