URGENT REQUIREMENT- Machinist

Cnc Mill Machinist

We are seeking a skilled CNC Mill Machinist with at least two years of experience. The ideal candidate will be capable of performing their own set-ups and runs on the machine, with a strong understanding of height gauges, calipers, micrometers, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints. Familiarity with Fanuc Controls is essential, as the role requires immediate productivity with minimal training.

Responsibilities:

• Perform set-ups and runs on CNC machines independently.
• Utilize height gauges, calipers, micrometers, and interpret blueprints accurately.
• Operate and program using Fanuc Controls directly at the machine.
• Maintain and manage tools and equipment effectively.
• Work efficiently in a two-machine cell with live milling tooling and twin spindle setups.

Essential Skills:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a CNC Mill Machinist.
• Proficiency in Fanuc Controls.
• Ability to perform set-ups and runs independently.
• Strong understanding of G Codes and M Codes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience with 3 Axis Mill and Mill Turn background.
• Familiarity with Haas and Doosan brand machines.
• Possession of personal tools including calipers, micrometers, and wrenches.

Work Environment:

The work environment is a smaller machine shop with around 50 employees, fostering a close-knit, team-oriented culture. The facility is climate-controlled, and the first shift operates from 7 am to 3:30 pm, with potential for overtime and Saturday work. The dress code includes jeans, a T-shirt, and steel-toed shoes.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, Kansas.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
