Position Overview:
As a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant at Ascension Saint Thomas Urgent Care, you will be integral to providing exceptional medical care to patients of all ages. Collaborate with a dedicated healthcare team to diagnose, treat, and educate patients, while ensuring the highest standards of care. Our full-time providers work a flexible rotating schedule of 36-40 hours per week, including 12-hour shifts and alternating weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver outstanding customer service to patients, visitors, and coworkers.
• Provide accessible and friendly care to all individuals seeking health services.
• Lead and support during emergencies, ensuring patients feel reassured and cared for.
• Conduct medical assessments and treatments, including primary and urgent care, occupational health, DOT physicals, and workers' compensation cases.
• Perform medical procedures such as laceration repairs, injections, splinting, and abscess drainage.
• Ensure appropriate care levels are maintained for all clinic patients.
• Supervise on-site laboratory, x-rays, and injection services as needed.
• Commit to continuous clinical competency improvement.
• Collaborate with leadership to align operations with medical policies and professional standards.
• Participate in policy development for medical practice and patient satisfaction.
• Engage in in-service and continuing education opportunities for medical staff.
• Provide guidance to medical team members, ensuring quality services and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• 1 year of related experience as a Provider (preferred).
• Current APRN or Physician Assistant State License.
• Certification through AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA.
• DEA license (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
• DOT certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
• BLS certification.
