Overview

Ultrasound Technologist-Imaging Ultrasound-Full Time at TieTalent. The Ultrasound Technologist will perform a wide variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures, provide support for other imaging technologists as needed, and help facilitate smooth and efficient patient flow. The technologist will handle the movement, set-up, and operation of medical ultrasound equipment. Flexibility to work other shifts and/or at other campuses is required as needed. The technologist must troubleshoot basic maintenance, participate in QA, and resolve issues related to image processing and the image archiving system. Ongoing education, safety, and technical advances within the scope of licensure are expected. The technologist will adhere to the imaging competencies outlined by management and align behavior and communication with the organizations mission, values, and culture.

• Ensures compliance with policies, procedures, and standards of care as deemed by state and federal agencies, the hospital, and regulatory entities.
• Performs examinations/procedures as needed to assist patient throughput within the scope of licensure and documented competencies.
• Demonstrates flexibility by working other shifts and at other campuses as needed or required.
• Ensures completed exams are scanned and stored correctly in PACS; follows PACS downtime procedures as a PACS Superuser and escalates issues as needed.
• Troubleshoots and reports equipment malfunctions to the Director/Manager and Biomedical personnel; performs appropriate follow-up.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Education/Skills
  Graduate of an accredited school of Ultrasound Technology or other accepted and approved equivalent required.
• Experience (1 year of ultrasound scanning experience preferred).
• Basic Computer Experience Required
• Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
  Sonography (S) in Abdomen by ARRT or ARDMS required within 1 year of hire; Certification in OB/GYN, Vascular, or Breast preferred; State Licensure required if in New MexicoDMS by MIRTP NMED; BLS required.
