JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused Ultrasound Technician to join our Radiology and Cardiology team. The ideal candidate will perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures, including echocardiograms and vascular studies, to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. This role requires technical proficiency, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering compassionate care.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams including abdominal, vascular, and cardiac imaging
Prepare patients for procedures and explain the process to ensure comfort and cooperation
Operate ultrasound equipment and adjust settings to capture optimal images
Collaborate with radiologists and cardiologists to interpret and review imaging results
Document procedures and maintain accurate patient records in EMR systems
Ensure equipment is properly maintained and calibrated
Adhere to safety protocols and infection control standards
Assist in scheduling and coordinating patient flow within the imaging department

Required Qualifications:

Associateâ€™s or Bachelorâ€™s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field
Minimum 1â€“2 years of experience in ultrasound imaging, preferably in cardiac or vascular studies
Proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment and understanding of sonographic anatomy
Strong communication and patient care skills

Certifications:

BLS (Basic Life Support)
ARDMS or CCI certification in relevant specialties (e.g., Abdomen, Vascular, Echocardiography)

Education: Bachelors Degree
Certification: Basic Life Support , ARDMS , CCI
