Sales Manager Truss Manufacturing

We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Sales Manager to lead and grow our sales operations in the truss manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of building materials, construction processes, and the residential and commercial housing market. The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing a sales team, and cultivating strong relationships with builders, contractors, architects, and developers.

Key responsibilities include:

• Develop and implement sales plans to meet or exceed company goals for revenue, market share, and profitability.
• Identify new business opportunities in residential, commercial, and multifamily construction markets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, contractors, and industry partners.
• Manage, mentor, and train a team of sales representatives or account managers.
• Collaborate with the design, production, and delivery teams to ensure customer satisfaction and timely project execution.
• Prepare and deliver accurate sales forecasts, reports, and market analysis to senior management.
• Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, pricing, and technological advancements in truss systems.
• Attend industry trade shows, networking events, and client meetings as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of sales experience in the truss industry, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Knowledge of truss systems, structural components, and construction industry standards (preferred).
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Proficient with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with builders, framing contractors, or lumberyards.
• Understanding of design software like MiTek, Alpine, or similar truss design programs.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and architectural drawings.
