Salary Range: $17 - $25.50

Department Details

• Must support multiple locations within 150 miles of your permanent address
• Mileage reimbursement provided
• Premium Pay Rates:
• $5/hour premium on all hours worked
• $1.25/hour weekend shift differential
• $1.25/hour evening/night shift differential (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM)

Experience Requirements:

• Long Term Care Experience (6 months preferred, 3 months required)

Scheduling Requirements:

• Minimum of 30 hours per month
• One weekend shift per month

Job Summary

As a Nursing Assistant (NA), you will provide compassionate care to residents in long-term care settings while working under the direction of a registered nurse (RN). You will deliver resident-focused care that addresses their physical and psychological needs as outlined in their care plans.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting residents with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and obtaining vital signs.
• Providing emotional and psychosocial support.
• Using appropriate techniques for transferring and repositioning residents.
• Assisting with meal preparation and ensuring a positive dining experience.
• Documenting resident care and communicating any changes to the nursing staff.
• Maintaining cleanliness in living areas and assisting with laundry services.

Your role is crucial in fostering a respectful and healthy environment for all residents.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Prior nursing assistant experience in long-term care is preferred.
• CNA certification required with the State Board of Nursing or certification through endorsement within four months.
• Completion of yearly competency testing and a minimum of 12 hours of continuing education annually is required.
• Must have a valid driver's license if tasked as a Sanford Category II Driver.
