Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Radiology Technologist - X-Ray with 2+ years of OR, general X-ray, and fluoroscopy experience and current ARRT certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute care radiology department covering general X-ray, fluoroscopy, OR, ED, and portable imaging
• Department includes 4 general X-ray rooms, 2 fluoroscopy rooms, and uses GE, Shimadzu, and OEC C-Arm equipment
• Schedule is Friday to Sunday, 10:30 AM to 11:00 PM, 12-hour shifts for 36 hours per week
• Float between General X-ray, Fluoroscopy, OR, ED, and Portables as required
• Average volume of 80-100 studies per 24-hour period
• Uses Epic EMR and SECTRA PACS; Windows computer software is used throughout the department
• Some call may be required with a 45-minute response time
• Department supervision by an imaging supervisor and shift/modality lead techs
• Radiologist is on site 24/7
• Expected to perform all general X-ray, fluoroscopy, and OR exams independently
• Personal scrubs are acceptable; any color allowed as long as professional; hospital scrubs provided only for OR assignments
• Three-day department orientation provided at start of assignment
• Holiday coverage required if scheduled shift falls on a holiday
• References required: one supervisor from the past 12 months, plus one peer or supervisor from the last 3 years
• Copy of driver’s license required for consideration

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience performing general X-ray, fluoroscopy, and OR exams
• Active ARRT RT (R) certification, BLS, and Certified Radiologic Technologist credentials
• Active state license required if applicable; license must be in hand at time of consideration
• Own lead markers required
• Radiation badge required prior to assignment start
• Experience with Epic EMR and SECTRA PACS preferred
