Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a Vascular Ultrasound Technologist for evening shifts with 5+ years of experience and required ARDMS, RVT, and BLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in a dedicated vascular ultrasound unit with a daily census of 23 patients and 3 private rooms
• Patient population includes adolescents through geriatrics
• Average of 9 studies per day with staffing ratios of 1:3 on weekdays and 1:1 on weekends
• Specialized procedures include aorta, arterial graft studies, arterial mapping, carotid, color flow, Doppler, duplex, lower and upper extremity arterial/venous scans, and renal artery duplex
• Use of Philips Epiq Elite and Viasonix Falcon Pro equipment
• Medstreaming used for unit documentation and Epic HR experience preferred
• Evening shift schedule is Monday to Friday, 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM; with rotating call (7 consecutive days every 4 weeks) and weekend shifts (once every 4 weeks, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
• Block scheduling in place
• Responsibilities include performing specialized vascular ultrasound studies and adapting to a fluid, dynamic environment
• Care for a wide range of vascular patients including complex surgical cases
• Team members may participate in operating room support for carotid endarterectomy
• Green scrubs are required but not provided
• Two professional references are required for consideration
• PDF copy of Driver’s License and Social Security Number required for consideration

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of vascular ultrasound experience required; 10+ years preferred
• Current ARDMS, RVT, and BLS certifications required
• Experience in adult, ER, ICU, and portable vascular settings required
• Epic HR system experience preferred
• Must be able to work independently in a variety of patient care settings
• No first-time travelers will be considered
• License required if applicable
