Job Description

The Cardiac Sonographer will perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations of the heart and surrounding structures, providing critical information for patient care. This role requires independent initiative, effective communication, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Conduct echocardiograms and other cardiac imaging procedures.
• Assist in performing and analyzing tests in accordance with protocols.
• Maintain knowledge of ultrasound technology and equipment.
• Ensure quality control and adherence to safety standards.
• Effectively communicate results and findings to healthcare teams.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology or Medical Sonography.
• One year of experience in radiologic/imaging with a focus on Cardiac Sonography.
• Registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Registry eligible.
• Current BCLS certification.
• Ability to maintain all registries and licenses required by state and federal law.
