Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a General Ultrasound Technologist with MFM and OB experience and current ARDMS certification for a flexible day shift assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work in a general ultrasound department with a focus on maternal-fetal medicine (MFM) and obstetrics
• Flexible schedule offering 4x10 hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM) or 5x8 hour days
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• May occasionally float between facilities within the health system if requested
• Modules must be completed during orientation and scheduled shifts
• Primary responsibilities include performing a full range of ultrasound procedures, with a focus on high-risk obstetric and maternal-fetal medicine cases
• Work as part of a collaborative ultrasound team within the radiology/cardiology department
• Candidates may be required to travel to Illinois for fingerprinting if not currently listed as 'Eligible' in the IL Healthcare Worker Registry
• Medical and religious accommodations for vaccines are considered case-by-case
• All requests for time off must be submitted upfront and cannot be changed after submission
• Candidates who live within 75 miles of the facility are considered local and are eligible for a local pay rate

Requirements

• ARDMS certification relevant to specialty area is required
• MFM and OB ultrasound experience required
• Graduate of an accredited medical sonography program with a diploma or certificate of completion
• Current BLS certification through AHA
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Zero to two years of experience in a relevant ultrasound role required; three or more years preferred
• RVT through ARDMS or RVS certification through CCI accepted for vascular ultrasound
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and exert push/pull force up to 50 pounds
• Must have an Illinois state license in hand prior to consideration; license required if applicable
• All required references and supporting documentation must be submitted for consideration
