DESCRIPTION

Position: Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer
Location: Massena, NY 13662
NY License: Must be active and in hand – no exceptions
Unit Accepts First-Time Travelers: Yes
Experience Required: Minimum 1 year
Local Candidates: Not accepted (must live 50+ miles from facility)

Schedule & Call Requirements

• Call required: Every 3rd day after 6 PM
• Weekend call: Every 3rd weekend

Required Certifications

• ARDMS
• BLS

Patient Population & Case Types

• Scans include:
  • OB
  • Abdominal
  • DVT
  • Carotids
  • Breast
  • Other general ultrasound studies
• Patient age range: Pediatric through adult
• Common invasive procedures: Thoracentesis and Paracentesis

Required Experience

• Community hospital experience
• Outpatient work setting experience

Preferred Skills & Credentials

Preferred Clinical Skills:

• Biopsies

Preferred Certifications:

• ARRT – Sonography
• RDMS – Abdomen (AB)
• RDMS – Obstetrics (OB)
