Surgical Technician – 10-Hour Day Shift

Shift:

10-Hour Days | 6:30 AM – 5:30 PM | 4x10s | 40 hours per week

Guaranteed Hours:

40 per week

On-Call:

Rotating schedule based on unit needs.

• Approximately one weekday every other week (backup for night shift)
• Approximately one weekend call shift per month (24 hours)
• Additional call may be assigned as needed

Job Description:

Join a dynamic surgical team as a Certified Surgical Technician , providing essential intraoperative support and ensuring efficient, safe, and sterile surgical environments. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to anticipate the needs of the surgical team.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms and ensure all surgical instruments are properly sterilized and organized.
• Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile technique.
• Handle specimens, surgical equipment, and ensure all materials are properly accounted for post-surgery.
• Support pre-operative and post-operative processes to maintain efficiency.
• Collaborate with nurses, anesthesiologists, and physicians to provide optimal patient care.

Requirements:

• Active NBSTSA Certification (required)
• BLS Certification (required)
• Minimum of 2 years of surgical tech experience preferred
• Ability to work flexible hours and rotating call schedule

Pay Details:

Traveler (W2):

• Hourly Rate: $55.00/hr
• Weekly Gross: $2,200.00
• Taxable W2: $24.00/hr ($960/week)
• Non-Taxable Stipend: $31.00/hr ($1,240/week)
• Overtime after 40 hours

Traveler (1099):

• Hourly Rate: $58.00/hr
• Weekly Gross: $2,320.00
