Description

The Surgical Technologist prepares the Operating Room prior to surgery and promotes the safety of the patient during surgery. They provide assistance to the surgeon during surgery and are responsible for the instruments and supplies used in surgery. The role involves caring for the patient throughout the surgical process and functions as a member of the surgical team to ensure patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Coverage for general surgery, neurosurgery, ortho, ENT, and GI procedures.
• High acuity experience is required.
• Demonstrate competency and skills related to pediatrics and neonates.
• Must possess knowledge of decontamination and sterilization processes.
• Be available for weeknight, weekend, and holiday on?call responsibilities.
• Travelers may float to multiple units based on current staffing needs.

Qualifications
