Job Title: Sheet Metal Mechanic/Lead $25-32 + 100 a day per diem

Job Description

We are seeking skilled Sheet Metal Mechanics and Lead Level candidates with over 2 years of experience to join our team. The role involves working on various job sites in Lynchburg, VA and 1 spot open in Roanoke, VA.

Responsibilities

• Install duct work and perform sheet metal installations.

• Read and interpret blueprint drawings for accurate installations.

• Work collaboratively with a helper at the Journeymen level.

• Lead Mechanics are responsible for managing crews consisting of a mechanic and a helper.

• Supervise daily tasks and ensure efficient workflow.

• Measure and cut duct work using measuring instruments and hand tools.

• Perform general labor and sheet metal work.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of experience in commercial sheet metal installation.

• Ability to install duct work and read blueprints.

• Experience in supervising and running a crew of 1-4 helpers.

• Proficiency in using hand and power tools for HVAC and sheet metal tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Journeymen level experience is preferred.

• Experience in running a crew is advantageous.

• Ability to transport tools, materials, and equipment to work sites by hand, truck, or motorized truck.

• Capability to perform laboring duties related to installation, maintenance, and repair of various systems and equipment.

• Physical ability to climb, reach above shoulder height, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl frequently and lift objects up to 50 lbs.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $32.00/hr.
