Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a travel position on the 2A Oncology unit, requiring a KY or compact license and night shift availability.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the 2A Oncology unit
• Oncology patient population
• Hospital setting working 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week contract assignment
• Must explain any employment gaps of 3 months or more
• Team-oriented environment with support for onboarding
• Required to wear appropriate scrubs as per department guidelines
• Completion of hospital modules and required trainings prior to start
• Candidates with prior local experience at the facility are not eligible for this travel position

Requirements

• Active KY or Compact RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years recent oncology nursing experience
• AHA certifications required: BLS and any additional relevant certs must be active (cannot expire during assignment)
• Active NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required prior to consideration
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification required for all RNs, may be completed onsite
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required with no exceptions
• No 'hits' or disciplinary actions on nursing license accepted
• Candidate must provide US Social Security Number (not Canadian)
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
