**Job Description: Mother-Baby Registered Nurse (RN)**

**Shift:** 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
**Location:** 509 Biltmore Avenue, Floor 5G
**Unit Information:**
- **Unit Type:** Mother-Baby Unit
- **Number of Beds:** 34 private couplet rooms
- **Patient Ratios:** 1:3-4 couplets
- **Staffing:** Day Shift includes 1 Charge RN, 11 RNs, and 1 PCT/Secretary; Night Shift includes 1 Charge RN, 11 RNs, and 1 PCT/Secretary

**General Information:**
We are seeking experienced Mother-Baby Registered Nurses to join our dynamic healthcare team. As a Mother-Baby RN, you will provide essential care to new mothers and their infants in a supportive and compassionate environment. Your expertise in maternal nursing and commitment to patient education will make a significant impact on the families you serve.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to postpartum mothers and their newborns.
- Monitor the health and progress of mother and baby couplets, ensuring optimal care.
- Educate new parents on infant care, breastfeeding, and maternal health.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote positive health outcomes.
- Assist in performing standard procedures, including circumcisions, as part of the care plan.

**Required Qualifications:**
- Current RN licensure
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Previous experience in Mother-Baby nursing
- Familiarity with caring for patients on Magnesium Sulfate post-delivery
- STABLE certification is preferred

**Preferred Skills:**
- Travel experience
- Strong team-oriented personality and a passion for teaching

**Additional Information:**
- **Weekend Requirements:** Weekends required
- **Floating Areas:** Will assist as needed in Labor & Delivery (L&D) and NICU
- **Dress Code:** Navy blue scrubs
