LPN Job Requirements

Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license
BLS certification required
Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
Strong clinical skills, compassionate and engaged personality
Preferred: NIH Stroke certification, ACLS certification

Med/Surg Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care on a general medical surgical floor, specializing in stroke and neuro patients
Collaborate with RNs, clinical techs, and unit secretary to provide high-quality healthcare
Monitor and document patient status using Meditech EMR system
Assist with standard nursing procedures and interventions as required
Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment following hospital protocols
Foster a positive team atmosphere and contribute to the unit’s reputation for clinical excellence
