Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Case Manager with a current CA RN license and acute care hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital case management unit
• Provide services to acute care patient populations
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hour shifts from 8:00 to 16:30
• Floating required between all facilities within California
• Expectation to work at multiple sites as needed
• EMR system used is Epic; experience with Epic is required
• Must commit to working 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, or New Year's Day
• All requested time off must be submitted and approved up front
• Returning former permanent staff must have a 3-month gap before returning as a traveler and must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
• Modules must be completed pre-start, averaging 16 hours of self-guided training
• First time travelers are not excluded from applying

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years recent case management experience in a hospital setting
• Acute care experience required
• Experience with Epic EMR is required
• Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last three years in a comparable setting
