Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Night Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30). Weekend coverage is required every other weekend.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a night shift position. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in respiratory and neuro diagnostics, with a preference for previous charge experience. You will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a variety of settings, including adult critical care and emergency departments.

Responsibilities

• Manage ventilator settings and provide assistance with intubations and extubations.
• Administer aerosol therapies and oxygen therapy using various modalities.
• Perform bronchial hygiene, sputum specimen collection, and tracheostomy care.
• Respond to high-pressure alarms and troubleshoot ventilator management issues.
• Conduct arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling and patient assessments as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a respiratory therapy role.
• Certifications: BLS and RRT required.
• Experience in adult critical care and emergency settings is preferred.
• Familiarity with charting systems such as Epic is preferred.

Patient Population

You will work with diverse patient age groups including adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics, managing conditions such as CHF, COPD, pneumonia, respiratory failure, and respiratory infections.
