**Job Description: Respiratory Therapist**

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic healthcare team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing care to a diverse patient population, including neonates to adults.

**Position Details:**
- **Shift:** 12-Hour Night Shifts (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM)
- **Rotation Schedule:** Yes, with variation based on department needs
- **Weekend Requirements:** Every other weekend
- **Holiday Requirements:** Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas/Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Day/Eve)

**Responsibilities Include:**
- Administer respiratory therapy treatments and medications to patients of all ages
- Operate advanced respiratory support equipment, including Puritan Bennett 980 & 840, LTV1200, and more
- Collaborate with medical staff to develop and implement patient care plans
- Monitor patients' responses to treatments and adjust care as needed
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding respiratory care
- Float to other units as needed, including nursery and emergency department

**Qualifications:**
- Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience as a Respiratory Therapist
- Certification in BLS, ACLS, and NRP required
- Experience working with neonatal and pediatric populations is preferred
- Proficiency in EPIC documentation system within the last 2 years is mandatory
- Valid New York State Respiratory Therapist license or proof of application required upon submission
- Must demonstrate flexibility with schedule and be willing to work additional shifts as required

**Dress Code:**
- Scrubs: Black or Ceil Blue
- Shoes: Closed, non-skid
- Jewelry: Minimal and in adherence to hospital dress code
- Hair/Beard: Must be groomed; no beards for N95 mask readiness
- Nail Polish: Must comply with hospital dress code policy

**Additional Information:**
- Reliable transportation is required, as public transportation is not accessible in this area. Personal vehicles or rented vehicles are strongly recommended, especially equipped with all-season or snow tires from November to April.
- Employment gaps over 90 days must be explained.
