Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our dynamic team in the Respiratory Therapy department. This role involves providing comprehensive respiratory care to a diverse patient population in a tertiary teaching hospital.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments as per established protocols.
• Perform patient evaluations and monitor respiratory status.
• Collaborate with medical staff to determine patient care plans.
• Assess and manage ventilator settings for patients in acute and critical care.
• Provide support and education to patients and their families regarding respiratory conditions.
• Float as needed to various areas including NICU, PICU, acute care pediatrics, ED, and adult acute and critical care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Respiratory Therapy.
• Active BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• NRP certification required for NICU assignments.
• Experience in tertiary, teaching hospital settings is essential.
• Preferred experience in NICU, PICU, and cardiothoracic care.
