Radiology Technologist Job Details

• Location: Warren, MI 48093 (Detroit metro area – Michigan healthcare jobs)
• Assignment Type: Travel Radiology Technologist

• Healthcare Setting: Hospital CT Unit
• Schedule: 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM, every other weekend (block schedule)

• Imaging Technology: GE, OEC - C-arms, Carestream Portables

Radiology Technologist Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist (CT Tech)
• High School Diploma or GED required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with advanced registry in Computed Tomography (CT) or registry-eligible
• Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills
• Experience in both hospital and mobile radiology unit settings preferred
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education in radiology

Radiology Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform computerized tomographic (CT) radiology procedures and general diagnostic imaging exams
• Explain imaging procedures and prepare patients for CT scans
• Review clinical data, obtain patient medical history, and ensure appropriate radiology examinations are performed
• Set up procedure rooms, replenish supplies, and maintain imaging equipment
• Administer intravenous contrast media and monitor patients for adverse reactions
• Assist radiologists with complex sterile diagnostic procedures, including biopsies
• Ensure radiation safety and compliance with ALARA principles
• Manage imaging workflow, including PACS and RIS documentation
• Demonstrate excellence in teamwork, communication, and patient-centered healthcare
• Maintain accurate documentation in medical and radiology information systems
