EP Lab RN Job Details

Location: Louisville, KY 40202 (Kentucky nursing jobs)
Setting: Electrophysiology Lab, Academic Medical Center
Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
Shift: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM (8 Hour Days)
Hours per Week: 36
Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,210 - $2,370
Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 9/29/2025 – End: 12/29/2025)
Weekend Hours: No weekends
Call Requirements: None (may require occasional late stay)
Patient Ratio: 1:1 in procedure room
Number of Beds: 3 EP procedure rooms
Equipment: Siemens, Cardio Solution, Stereotaxis
EMR Systems: McKesson Cardiology & Cerner
Scrub Color: Hospital provided

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license (Kentucky or proof of application required)
Minimum 2 years of recent experience in an EP Lab or cardiac healthcare setting
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, ARRT or RCIS
Proficiency with McKesson Cardiology and Cerner EMR systems
Ability to float to Cath Lab as needed
Strong troubleshooting, clinical, and communication skills

EP Lab RN Responsibilities

Assist with electrophysiology procedures: ablations (EP studies, A-fib, Flutter, SVT), pacemaker insertions/removals, leadless pacemakers, Watchman device, and loop recorders
Deliver direct patient care in a 1:1 clinical setting during cardiac procedures
Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
Maintain accurate documentation using McKesson Cardiology and Cerner EMR
Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and staff
Troubleshoot equipment and resolve procedural issues as needed
Float to Cath Lab when required
