Radiology Technologist Job Details

Location: Aurora, IL 60506 (Chicago metro area – Illinois healthcare jobs)

End Date: February 15, 2026
Duration: 13-week contract
Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (8-hour night shifts)
Hours per Week: 40
Estimated Weekly Salary: $1580 - $1700

Radiology Technologist Qualifications

Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited Radiologic Technology program
Current X-Ray Technologist certification (ARRT preferred)
Current BCLS (AHA) certification
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist (clinical radiology experience in acute care preferred)
Proficient with mobile and stationary radiographic/fluoroscopic equipment
Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and radiology procedures
Computer proficiency and experience with electronic health records
Familiarity with State and Federal healthcare regulations
Valid Illinois state licensure and fluoroscopy permit (as required)

Radiology Technologist Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic imaging procedures following established radiology protocols and patient safety standards
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment
Ensure accurate patient identification, documentation, and imaging records
Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care
Maintain compliance with all regulatory, safety, and infection control guidelines
Assist with patient positioning and provide clear instructions for optimal imaging results
Contribute to a positive, efficient, and patient-focused work environment
