Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist with strong OR experience and ARRT registration for a variable shift X-Ray position.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based medical imaging department specializing in X-Ray
• Majority of time spent in the operating room with additional coverage for inpatient, outpatient, emergency, NICU, and pediatric cases
• Patient population includes adults, pediatrics, vented, sedated, and NICU patients
• Cases include whole body, musculoskeletal, neuro, and portable X-rays
• No fluoroscopy procedures required
• Equipment includes Carestream portables, GE rooms, and GE C-arm
• Handles an average of 15-20 patients per day
• Uses Epic and Sectra for charting; Epic experience is preferred
• Varied shifts totaling 40 hours per week
• Weekend and call rotation requirements are discussed during the interview
• First-time travelers are welcome for this position
• Full orientation is provided during the first week
• Blue OR procedural scrubs are provided
• Free parking available on site
• 100 mile radius rule applies; local travelers within 100 miles are not eligible
• Time off must be approved in advance
• Holiday and weekend schedule expectations are discussed during the interview

Requirements

• Active ARRT registration and BLS certification required
• Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) through ARRT
• At least 1 year of radiology technologist experience required; 3 years preferred
• OR experience is mandatory
• Level 1 or 2 trauma experience required
• Competency with C-arm equipment required
• Experience with Epic preferred
• License required if applicable
