Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray with at least 1 year of experience, current ARRT (R) and SCRQSA (R) certifications, and OR and fluoroscopy skills.

Responsibilities

• Position is based in a Level III trauma, 286-bed acute care hospital
• Performs radiographic procedures in adult and pediatric populations
• Covers OR, orthopedic, fluoroscopy, inpatient, outpatient, and emergency room settings as needed
• Work schedule is 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday through Thursday, 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• On-call rotations are required, including weekends
• Floating within scope to different units based on facility needs
• Epic charting preferred, prior experience with Epic is beneficial
• Teal top and black bottom scrubs are required
• First-time travelers are accepted
• All time off must be disclosed at time of application; approval is subject to facility needs
• Local candidates within a 60-mile radius are accepted at a reduced rate
• Previous employees must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
• Modules must be completed prior to start, averaging 4 hours
• Parking is free for staff
• During hurricane season (June–November), staff may be assigned to emergency response teams

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of X-Ray Technologist experience required
• Current ARRT (R) and SCRQSA (R) certifications required
• BLS and CPR certification (AHA only) required
• Experience with fluoroscopy and operating room procedures is required
• Radiation badge must be provided by candidate
• License required if applicable
• SSN and driver’s license required for consideration
