Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 2 years of experience for a day shift contract with on-call and holiday requirements.

Responsibilities

• Work in a dedicated nuclear medicine department
• Day shift: Monday through Thursday, 4x10-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• On-call required: One week/backup call per month from 5 PM-11 PM (Monday-Friday) and 7 AM-11 PM (Saturday/Sunday)
• Floating to other departments within facility and scope of practice as needed
• Patient population not specified
• No blocked scheduling permitted
• Must be available to work major holidays according to assignment period
• Travel pairs cannot be scheduled for the same shift on the same unit
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• If deemed unable to return to a facility, a traveler must complete a successful assignment elsewhere before being booked again
• Modules are completed during orientation and vary by specialty
• Request for time off (RTO) limited to a maximum of 7 days and must be requested at time of consideration; no RTO allowed for holidays unless three major holidays fall within the assignment period, in which case one holiday RTO may be reviewed for approval
• Full compliance required to start on time; delayed compliance may push start by two weeks due to orientation schedule

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in nuclear medicine technology required
• Open to first-time travelers
• GA or Compact license must be in hand at the time of consideration; license required if applicable
• Two supervisory references (manager level or above) highly preferred
• Ability to submit core compliance items and complete/schedule labs within 48 hours of signing a contract
• Must have been away from all Piedmont facilities for at least 1 full year to return as a traveler
