Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist with ARRT MR certification and Siemens MRI equipment experience for an evening shift assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work in a short-term acute care hospital with a teaching and Level 1 trauma environment
• Department focuses on outpatient, inpatient, ER, NICU, adult ICU, and community hospital cases
• Operates multiple Siemens MRI scanners, including Espree, Trio, Aera, Skyra, Sola, and Vida
• Scheduling consists of 4x10 hour mid shifts from 12:00 PM to 10:30 PM, with a rotating day off during the week
• Required to work one Saturday per month and one holiday per rotation if needed
• Floating within the hospital or service line as needed
• EPIC is the charting system used
• Main responsibilities include conducting MRI procedures on diverse patient populations across acuity levels
• Expected to participate in fit testing and must be clean-shaven for proper facial fit
• Black scrubs required
• Monthly parking passes available, with a fee for parking in the designated garage
• RTO must not exceed 7 days per 13-week assignment and is not allowed the first week of orientation
• Permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning as travelers
• Travelers are limited to 12 months of service followed by a 6-month break
• First-time travelers are accepted for this assignment

Requirements

• ARRT MR or ARRT R certification is required
• Minimum of 1 year as an MRI Technologist
• BLS certification required
• Experience using Siemens MRI scanners is required
• Experience with EPIC charting is preferred
• IV start and PACS experience preferred
• Ability to perform abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, breast, spine, musculoskeletal, CINE, diffusion, and other advanced MRI procedures is preferred
• Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Pending state license accepted if applicable (License required if applicable)
• Valid SSN and DOB required for consideration
