• Assignment Type: Travel nursing contract

• End Date: February 9, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM (12-hour night shifts)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Unit Beds: 20-bed cardiac stepdown unit
• Patient Ratio: Night Shift 1:6 (stretch 1:7)
• EMR: Cerner/Power Chart
• Dress Code: Navy or white uniform options
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1650 - $1770

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – North Carolina or compact state
• BLS certification (Basic Life Support)
• Telemetry certification
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in cardiac stepdown or telemetry nursing jobs
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Med-Surg certification preferred

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care in a 20-bed cardiac stepdown/observation unit
• Monitor patients using telemetry equipment and respond to cardiac events
• Perform nursing procedures: telemetry monitoring, Foley catheter insertion, IV starts
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes
• Float to other medical-surgical units as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation in Cerner/Power Chart EMR
• Adhere to hospital policies, attendance, and dress code guidelines
