Duties & Responsibilities

Patient Assessment & Planning

• Evaluate patients' physical conditions, medical histories, and functional abilities.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessment and diagnosis.
• Set measurable goals to improve mobility, relieve pain, and restore function.

Treatment & Rehabilitation

• Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation.
• Educate patients on proper use of mobility aids (crutches, wheelchairs, walkers, etc.).
• Provide training on posture, balance, and movement to prevent further injury.
• Modify treatment plans based on patient progress and response.

Patient Education & Support

• Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and injury prevention.
• Counsel patients on lifestyle changes that support recovery and long-term wellness.

Documentation & Coordination

• Maintain accurate patient records, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Communicate and collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies.

Administrative & Professional Development

• Participate in staff meetings, case conferences, and continuing education programs.
• Keep up to date with advancements in physical therapy methods and technologies.
