Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 1 year of PET/CT experience and required certifications to join a Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital.

Responsibilities

• Work in a nuclear medicine department performing PET/CT scans
• Shift is 5x8 hour days with variable start times between 6:30am and 10:00am and ending between 3:00pm and 7:00pm
• No holiday shifts are required
• May be required to work one Saturday every four weeks
• No on-call or floating to other units or facilities is required
• Uses Siemens scanners and Epic EMR
• Adult patient population in a Magnet, Level 1 Trauma, teaching hospital setting
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• All staff may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June-November)
• Scrub colors are teal tops and black pants
• Parking is available nights and weekends for a one-time fee
• Block scheduling may be requested but is not guaranteed
• Previous staff or PRN must be separated from the system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• All requested time off must be declared at application; approval is based on unit needs
• Local candidates within 60 miles may be considered at a different rate

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year experience in nuclear medicine and PET/CT
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• NMTCB(N) or ARRT(N) required
• NMTCB(CT) or ARRT(R) or (CT) required
• SCRQSA state license in Nuclear Medicine and Radiology or Computed Tomography required if applicable
• Experience with Siemens equipment required
• Radiation badge required (must be supplied by agency)
• SSN and Driver’s License required for consideration
• Experience in Level 1 or II trauma setting preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
