• Position: Travel Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse
• Unit: Step-Down / PCU (Progressive Care Unit nursing jobs)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: January 19, 2026
• End Date: April 20, 2026
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Setting: On-site, hospital-based
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1470–$1570

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license (Kansas or compact state)
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Step-Down, or acute care nursing setting
• Proficiency in dysrhythmia interpretation and cardiac monitoring
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Strong communication, clinical, and teamwork skills
• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred

PCU RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to a diverse patient population in an 8-bed Progressive Care Unit
• Monitor, interpret, and respond to cardiac rhythms and changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including RNs and Patient Care Technicians, to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Accurately document all patient care activities in the Meditech EMR system
• Educate and support patients and their families throughout the care process
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic, and compliant environment for patients and staff
