Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Outpatient Physical Therapist for a neuro-focused day shift assignment requiring a current BLS and appropriate licensure.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient therapy setting specializing in neurorehabilitation
• Patient population includes neurological diagnoses such as stroke, brain injury, Parkinson’s, MS, and vestibular disorders
• Shifts are five 8-hour days, with either 8:00-16:30 or 9:30-18:00 schedules
• No scrubs required; business casual attire is expected
• Electronic Health Record system used is WEBPT
• Primary responsibilities include neurorehabilitation for a wide range of neurological conditions
• Must have received the Flu vaccine
• Pre-start and orientation modules are required and may be completed prior to and during onboarding
• Holiday coverage and schedule flexibility may be required
• Return staff must have been separated from prior employment at the facility for at least one year
• Local candidates within 60 miles will be considered at a different rate
• No more than 7 days of scheduled time off per 13-week contract is highly preferred, with no time off allowed in the first two weeks
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this assignment

Requirements

• Current BLS certification required
• Current DC or MD physical therapy license required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of recent outpatient neuro experience required
• Must have completed at least 1 prior travel assignment
• Experience with evaluation and treatment of cognitive disorders, concussion, dementia/Alzheimer’s, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, Parkinson’s, neurodevelopmental technique (preferred), spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury
• Two supervisor references required
