Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Anchorage, Alaska (99508) – Top destination for healthcare professionals seeking adventure and urban amenities.
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2450 - $2620 per week
• Assignment Length: 13-week travel contract
• Start Date: November 3, 2025
• Shift: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM, 10-hour day shifts
• Hours per Week: 40
• Call: Required; 5-6 weekday call shifts and 1 weekend call shift per 8-week period
• Unit: Operating Room (11 ORs, main hospital building)
• EMR: Epic
• Scrubs: Provided by facility

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Alaska RN license (required)
• BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience
• Experience with Ortho, Total Joints, Neuro, and Robotic procedures preferred
• Circulator experience required; scrub experience and CNOR certification are a plus
• Strong teamwork and communication skills

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Serve as a patient advocate and circulator in the operating room, ensuring patient safety and supporting the sterile field
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals, including RNs, scrub techs, and surgical support staff
• Assist with surgical procedures such as total joints, multi-level spine fusions, and Xi Robotic cases (GYN, colorectal, general)
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Epic EMR
• Participate in scheduled call shifts
• Uphold hospital policies, procedures, and infection control standards
