Travel Nursing Job Details

Location: Birmingham, Alabama 35243
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: October 28, 2025
End Date: January 27, 2026
Shift: 12 Hour Days (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM), plus on-call rotation
Hours per Week: 36
Estimated Weekly Salary: $1680–$1800 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Alabama or compact state
BLS certification required (American Heart Association preferred)
Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room (OR) nursing experience
Ability to participate in on-call rotation as needed
Permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility (per travel nurse guidelines)

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

Circulate in the Operating Room for various surgical specialties, supporting surgeons and surgical teams
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to ensure safe, efficient procedures
Maintain a sterile environment and uphold infection control standards in the OR
Monitor patient status and deliver high-quality perioperative nursing care
Accurately document all aspects of patient care and surgical procedures
Respond to emergencies and participate in required on-call shifts
