Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with South Dakota licensure and BLS for an acute care hospital assignment with varied adult caseloads.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute care hospital within the Occupational Therapy department
• 8-hour day shifts with a 40-hour workweek
• Patient caseload includes ICU, orthopedic/neuro, cardiopulmonary, general medicine, and oncology
• No floating to other units required
• Weekend rotation is only if desired
• No on-call responsibilities
• Use of adaptive equipment and EPIC EMR system
• Work closely with rehab supervisors as departmental support
• 5-7 days of facility and unit orientation provided
• Scrub colors are pewter, dark grey, or granite
• Free parking available on site
• No holiday coverage expectations
• Time off approval from supervisor required for more than 7 days
• First-time travelers may be considered depending on prior experience and setting
• No local travelers allowed within a 100-mile radius

Requirements

• Current South Dakota OT license required if applicable
• Active BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required
• Splinting skills required
